Devon is full of great things to do. Whether you want an action-packed and adventure filled holiday, fun days exploring the local area, or simply to quietly watch the bountiful wildlife - there really is something for everyone.
Home to some of the darkest skies in the country, the lack of light pollution across Devon is one of the reasons why you will be able to enjoy star-studded nights skies that will delight and dazzle.
By day, Devon is a great location for cyclists of all abilities. With leisurely scenic rides, fun trails, exciting off-road tracks and more challenging routes, some of the rides on Dartmoor are hard to beat and there are excellent, dedicated off-road cycle routes such as the Tarka Trail and Granite Way. A considerable number of our farms provide storage for your own bicycles or you can contact the farm you plan to stay with to organise local cycle hire in advance.
Some of our farms offer horse-riding from the premises, or close by, and others have stabling if you are keen to bring your own horse. Devon’s quiet country lanes and maze of bridleways offer superb riding opportunities for all levels of ability. Plus horse-riding across Dartmoor and Exmoor is a riding experience all horse lovers must tick off their bucket list!
With private lakes and rivers on some of our farms and the offer of fishing equipment and local advice, we have accommodation that can help provide the perfect place for experienced anglers and anyone just starting out. Devon's two coastlines give superb opportunities for coastal and sea fishing too.
All of our farms have a great choice of attractions nearby, but many also offer special activities – check with the farm before booking and they would be delighted to tell you all about what they can offer.
